As a number plate supplier in the UK, it is essential we comply with regulatory requirements and ensure legal compliance. Below are the key documents required when supplying number plates:
Proof of Identity / Address
- Driving licence (photocard or paper)
- Utility bill, Council Tax bill, or similar (dated within 3 months)
- Bank or building society statement (dated within 3 months)
Vehicle Registration Documents
- V5C (Vehicle Registration Certificate/Logbook)
- V5C/2 (New keeper supplement)
- V750 (Certificate of entitlement)
- V778 (Retention document)
- V11 (Vehicle tax renewal reminder)
- V948 (Number plate authorisation certificate)
Important Notes
All documentation must be kept for a minimum of 6 years for compliance purposes.
